# Tokenization Onboarding

The onboarding process ensures the asset is legitimate and ready for the digital market through the following steps:

* **Asset Discovery & Due Diligence:** The process begins by identifying an asset and conducting rigorous due diligence, value appraisals, and audits to verify authenticity and product-market fit.
* **Legal Digitization:** A unique holding company, such as an LLC or Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), is established to custody the asset. A Trustee or General Partner is appointed for off-chain management.
* **Token Creation:** Legal documents, including Articles of Incorporation or Bylaws, are amended to officially reference the RWA tokens, which represent share ownership in the holding company.
* **Onchain Mirroring:** An asset-backed token contract is established off-chain and then mirrored onchain via a smart contract to govern the issuance and transfer of tokens.
