# Getting Started

### 1. Creating an Account

To start your investment journey, visit [equiteez.com](https://equiteez.com/) and sign up with a valid email and a strong password. You must accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to finalize the creation of your account.

### 2. Customer Onboarding & Verification

Equiteez maintains a secure, compliant ecosystem by utilizing Sumsub for rigorous identity checks.

* KYC: Individual "Liveness Checks" and government ID verification via AI.
* KYB: Legal entity and UBO (Ultimate Beneficial Owner) verification for institutional users.
* AML: Continuous screening against global sanction lists and PEP databases to minimize counterparty risk.
* Timeline: Verification is typically completed within 1–3 business days.

### 3. Buying Assets

Investing in Real World Assets (RWAs) is designed to be accessible, with entry points as low as $50.

1. Connect: Link your digital wallet to the marketplace.
2. Select: Browse available RWAs (e.g., *Hilton Mars 1*) and review the expected returns and risks.
3. Transact: Choose your investment amount, approve the transaction in your wallet, and wait for blockchain confirmation. Tokens will appear directly in your portfolio.

### 4. Selling Assets

Equiteez provides three distinct decentralized exchange (DEX) methods for exiting positions:

* OTC Trading: Post a bulletin for peer-to-peer negotiations at your own price.
* AMM (Automated Market Maker): Swap tokens instantly at the best available market price.
* Order Book: Place limit orders to be matched automatically with buyers at specific price points.

> **Note:** Liquidity varies based on market demand, asset type, and transaction size. Always check for potential minimum holding periods before selling.

### **5. Earning Returns**

Investors benefit from two primary value drivers:
